Ferrous Market Upward Price Momentum Continues Into March

Initial negotiations for March domestic mill purchases of recycled steel are pointing to continued upward price momentum for the secondary commodity in the United States. As described by a March 11 report from Davis Index, mill buyers and shippers in the U.S. Midwest are negotiating whether certain grades would rise from $20 or up to $40 per ton, but increases were uniformly on the agenda.
