The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s timeline to mark up the next surface transportation reauthorization bill has been delayed from April, with action now expected later this month. Following committee approval, the bill will advance to the full House, then move through the Senate before any differences are reconciled and sent to President Trump. The legislation will fund the nation’s transportation systems and must be enacted before the current law expires on Sept. 30.
