Safedem Blasts 3 26-Storey Towers in Glasgow

SafeDem has successfully demolished three 26-storey residential towers in Glasgow, Scotland, by explosive means. The structures, known locally as the Wyndford towers and located at 151, 171 and 191 Wyndford Road in the Maryhill area of the city, were among four such buildings constructed in the 1960s. Deemed to be no longer fit for purpose by their owner, Wheatley Homes Glasgow, their demolition is part of a £100 million (US$129 million) redevelopment and regeneration project that will see just over 380 new homes built on the site.
